Quick Gift #1

Quick Gift #1 by Lili Pintea-Reed

With the holidays fast approaching, I'll start posting quick gift ideas for you all as well as some bigger winter projects. Today's quick gift is a nice rustic edging for a gift pillowcase.

Materials: baby fingering weight cotton or silk yarn (I used handspun silk) number D aluminum crochet hook (American)

Directions: Chain long enough to go around the edge of the pillow. Gauge isn't really an issue here. Single crochet down the length. Turn and double crochet down the length.

To make the picots, *single crochet three, chain six, single crochet three.* Repeat * * down the length.

Pull last loop through to end.

Sew on the edge of the pillow case. Since this is done in a relatively heavy yarn it works up very quickly! A nice evening project.
