EASY PULL-ON SNOW HELMET
by
Lili Pintea-Reed
Here is a an easy pull-on snow helmet to chase away the winter chills. This was made in Koolaide-dyed wool hand-spun and for extra warmth lined with hand-spun cotton. My son loves it! It could even be made out of a luxury fiber like silk or llama if you like. Materials: Number 8 double point needles (American) or number 8 needles (AM) Directions: Cast on 40 stitches. Work in knit one purl one pattern for 30 rows. Face opening: Hood Top: Lining (if desired): Finish Hood: If you made a lining place inside hood. Take the crochet hook and work single crochet around face opening to join hood and lining. (If you decided against a lining -- a crochet edge gives the hood a nice finish.) Then crochet the bottom edge together. If you don't know how to crochet these parts can be sewn together with blanket stitch for a nice decorative edge. Stay warm! Lili
