Here is a super easy shawl done in mohair or angora to make for a soft delight. Just a fun gift to give, or item to own.

Materials:
16 oz of mohair or angora yarn or acylic equivelant
Number 9 American Needles

Directions:
Cast on three stitches. *Work in garter stitch. Next row increase one stitch at each end. Work even for one row.* Repeat the rows above until the work has a width of one foot, or as wide as you want the shawl.

When the Width you desire has been achieved work even for a length of five feet.

To decrease to a point, decrease by knitting two stitches together every other row (just like a dish cloth pattern). Break off yarn and pull into work.

You can wear this plain as it is, or add a border pattern. I used a crochet shell pattern, but you can knit one also by picking up the stitches at one side and knitting them in pattern.
