Blogs for Feminist Mothers©
I first learned about blogs (or "web logs") at Lynn Spirelle's site The New Homemaker where I visit her diary every day.
Blogs are lists of links that change (at least, in theory, mine is sadly stagnant most days). They aren't just links to sites, they're links to whatever articles, pictures, or personalities caught the interest of the blog author. A blog can be a catch-all for the author's wanderings or (like mine) an occasional one paragraph updates with just a couple of links. Many are journals with very few links (these seem to be the least useful but somehow the most addictive, but then, I'm a terrible voyeur) The best ones are works of art with lots of thoughtful commentary (or at least, funny and snide commentary) and links to important stories. For a busy mother and information junkie, blogs are an answer to my dreams. There are a couple I check out daily and a few I check out weekly because these people have time to ferret out things I would otherwise miss. I'm pretty sure that blogs -- reading and making them -- could be addictive so while I'm going to offer you a lot of blog opportunities here, I caution you to dive in at your own risk!! OK, start your blogging journey by checking out our links here.
