Motherhood = Activism


I am still looking for ways to be an activist in my community. Right now I'm considering becoming a La Leche League leader because my child (and future children) are welcome to be a part of that activism. Ironically, my wish to work more on the side of childcare issues (worthy wages, better dissemination of information for parents, higher quality care) will likely have to wait since I don't want to use regularly scheduled care for my own kids.

In any case, I want to remind all of you who are feeling bad about lack of time or money to devote to your cause that living your life with respect for your values, honesty and pride is one of the best political statements you can make. Congratulations and thanks for all your hard work.
