I have to admit that besides fashion, I have another vice. I am addicted to television. Not as glamourous as fashion, but we all get our kicks in our own little way. The wonderful thing about this is that fashion and television are excellent compliments to each other. Sure, the clothing featured in a movie may be more high profile, but television has the ability to showcase more current fashions since you see something new every week (unless you watch the WB). But only a small handful of shows can really be described as fashionable. Sure, every show has a costume designer. Every show has clothes. But it's these few TV shows I've selected that really enjoyed the use of fashion, and created a showcase to inspire millions of fashionable viewers.

#5. The X-Files (Sundays at 9 PM EST, FOX) This choice may get a few raised eyebrows. FBI agents Mulder and Scully only wear dark suits, right? When you're chasing aliens, fashion is the last thing on your mind. Or at least, it used to be. If you watched the show from the beginning, you know Mulder and Scully's fashion choices were downright laughable, if not cringe-inducing. Huge shoulder pads, unflattering fabrics and cuts - they even put Scully in a blouse with a giant bow! But ever since the feature film two years ago, it's been a complete turnaround. Hugo Boss! Armani! Donna Karan For Men! The suits may be simple and unassuming, but they always flatter, fit well, and I'm sure the aliens and global government conspiracy have been very impressed.

#4. Charmed (Thursdays at 9 PM EST, WB) OK, I honestly don't watch this show very often. But from what I've seen, they have an excellent eye for trends without feeling the need to pile them on (unlike its predecessor, Beverly Hills, 90210).

#3. Friends (Thursdays at 8 PM EST, NBC) Ever since this show started, it's been fashionable. From Chandler's retro bowling shirts to the "Rachel" haircut, you can't ignore the impact this show has made. The best thing is, they haven't lost their touch. Great use of color and fit. The clothing designer, Deborah Joy-Levine, does an excellent job of giving each character their own fashion personality, so you can find your own inspiration.

#2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Tuesdays at 8 PM EST, WB) Besides being the darling of TV critics everywhere, this show continues to blow my mind every episode with the great clothes. Some of it has been a long stretch - how many college freshman have pashminas in several colors? - but it has consistently been wonderful. The biggest breakthrough this show made was between season one - when they dressed Buffy the way most high school girls dress, complete with a few very awkward choices - and season two, when they started dressing her the way most high school girls wish they could dress.
