for exhibit at an art and design museum? From July 22- October
17 San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art will hold an exhibit
that proposes to do just that! On its stage will be over
150 beautifully designed athletic shoes. Those represented
will have been produced over the last five years from 1995-2000.
As so many advances have been made in both high tech materials
and fabrics and design as well this will prove to be quite an
exhibit.
Designers such as the high fashion designers of Ralph
Lauren Prada Tommy Hilfiger and Acupuncture will be included for
their elegant as well as athletic fluid designs. Of course
the fabulous designs of Adidas New Balance Converse Oakley
Nike will be on hand as well. I had never seen Acupuncture's
athletic shoe which is graced by a beautiful Asian woman.
Be sure to take a short jaunt to SFMOMA if you're in the
