Review: Sword and Sorceress XIXAncient Greece is represented in the new Cynthia story "Lord of the Earth" by Dorothy J. Heydt. Cynthia finds herself traveling with old friends to Corinth. She finds herself embroiled in an argument with one of the Greek gods again. Ms. Heydt presents a vivid ancient Greek world with gods and strange magic. Her characters are likable and realistic. This is a nice continuation in the fictional life of Cynthia. There are many other entertaining stories in this anthology. Sword and Sorceress XIX edited by Marion Zimmer Bradley is a strong addition to the previous volumes. Readers will find several entertaining stories of magic and fun. Next year, Sword and Sorceress XX will be published. It will be the last of these anthologies. Too bad for us.
