Book Review: Legends edited by Robert Silverberg Part 1
Robert Silverberg's Majipoor is a world that mixes Science Fiction and Fantasy elements. It is a huge world colonized by humans where shape changers, magic and sea dragons exist. This short novel takes place later in the life of Valentine the Pontifex. "The Seventh Shrine" is a mystery with fantastic elements. Valentine comes to the ruins of an ancient city fo investigate the murder of a Metamorph archaeologist. The story proceeds in a quiet way without a lot of action. Silverberg gives the story power with descriptive writing and characterization. Majipoor is an impressive setting. This is a grand addition to the series.
