Top Fantasy Football Plays for Week ThreeHello people...welcome back for your week three NFL Fantasy player rankings. This week represents the first real challenge to fantasy coaches as it is the NFL’s first bye week. This will be the first week you may have to use one or more of your bench players. Hope you chose your back-ups well! With that…let’s get into this week’s rankings. Quarterbacks 1. Daunte Culpepper – The Carolina Panthers have had the good fortune of playing two of the worst offenses in the NFL in Detroit and Baltimore. Their good luck comes to an end this week as they travel to Minnesota. Culpepper had a big game against the Bills last week and he’ll have another one this week. 2. Tom Brady – Can Brady keep it up? He will this week against the Chiefs who are giving up an average of 336 passing yards per game so far in the young season. Expect another high points output from the Pats against one of the league’s worst defenses. 3. Brett Favre – On paper, this seems like a no-brainer. Detroit has been awful against the pass, surrendering 258 yards per game. And with Ahman Green possibly out with an injured knee, Favre will rely even more on the passing game. On the other hand…Detroit is playing their first game in their new stadium and they don’t want to be embarrassed on national TV. Also, Favre has had some of his worst games in Detroit. Odds are he’ll have a huge game, but… 4. Jeff Garcia – Garcia and the 49ers are off to a slow start offensively. That should all change as the Redskins come to town. The Skins were torn apart by Donovan McNabb and the Eagles on Monday, and Coach Steve Mariucci is looking for payback for the Preseason humbling that the Skins gave to SF. 5. Donovan McNabb – The Cowboys have played well against the pass so far but have not really been challenged. The Eagles, fresh off their pasting of Washington, will give the ‘Boys a reality check in a big way. Donovan will account for 2 to 3 TDs. 6. Peyton Manning – Manning goes up against the Texans who have only allowed 127 passing yards per game and just 1 TD pass. Don’t let that fool you, though. They have not faced a decent offense yet, and the Colts will be looking for a comeback game after last week’s loss. 7. Brian Griese – Griese faces a Buffalo secondary that has allowed 5 TD passes in their first two games. Expect another high-scoring affair in this one and Griese goes for at least 2 TDs.
