Jane Routley – Romantic Fantasy

Jul 11, 2000 - © Evelyn Keys

The narrative benefits from the extra characters. Dion becomes less angst-y, and the other characters have more depth. Unlike the first however there's not a surprising twist. Everything is wrapped up neatly and the loose ends are taken care of.

They're not new books, but they're not as well known as some others. Supporting new writers is a good hobby to take up. Routley is looking good in the romantic fantasy genre, and with any luck she'll be one of the 'biggies'. Her narratives are well constructed and she has improved vastly from one novel to another.
