I have an opinion. What about you?

Here at Suite101 the discussions give us the opportunity to voice our ideas, delve into our thought processes, and thoroughly dissect our opinions. Post a proposition and you are almost guaranteed a response, and perhaps even some intellectual discourse. For those of you who thrive on the sustenance of argument for the sake of analysis, of conversation for the satisfaction of understanding, you are not limited to my tiny discussion area. No, an abundance of Book Clubs and Book Discussion Groups are available both online and off. A most comprehensive list of Online Book Discussions is Rachel's Compendium. This is the place to start if you want to find a discussion group, either online or off. If you can't find it here, you might want to try Bookwire's Index of Reading Groups

Some of the larger publishers have their own book groups. At Bantam Double Day you can even start your own group. Start at the Book Group Corner for a reminder of the history of book clubs and some information on joining their existing groups or starting your own. Other publishers with reading groups/guides are PenguinPutnam, Harper Collins, and AvonBooks
