The Fear of God is not a book about what a god
fears, but rather the wildly unpredictable effects on
people who have adopted a religion which engenders an
unhealthy fear of the wrath of a god.
This new novel from B.A. Chepaitis, continues with the fast paced and exciting career of Jaguar Addams the remarkably effective teaching empath. The Fear of God is the second novel in this near future world where the problems of prison overcrowding have been solved by the incorporation of planetoid "prisons." The detainees are prepared for reintegration into society by teachers who use psychological and empathic techniques to effectively access the fear of the student in order to motivate them toward rehabilitation. The Fear of God is a second book with just as much, if not more, thrilling excitement as the first novel, The Fear Principle. It's up to our heroine, Jaguar Addams, to save the Earth from Sardis Malocco and her followers, the Revelation Sect. Their fanatical leader has promised them the Second Coming, and these zealots will soon be the catalysts of their own apocalypse. B.A. Chepaitis has spun us another marvelously intricate story. In depth research and an intricate blend of religions makes this novel just as recommendable as the first. Nothing but praise from this reader, try The Fear of God as a stand alone, or better yet read them both. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
