4. What's the point of traveling with small children? Aren't they too young to appreciate the experience?
No, no and triple no! Kids who grow up with a wide range of experiences will be more confident, comfortable in strange places, and curious about the world around them. Maybe your baby won't appreciate the finer points of the architecture of the Palace of Versailles, but he or she will pick up on other subtleties, including possibly a head start on learning French! :)
5. We're on a really tight budget. Won't it cost a lot to bring our kids along?
One of the goals of this site is to show parents and families how traveling doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. Yes, it can be expensive at times - if you want it to be. But a weekend camping at the state park can do as much for your family as a week's cruise to Mexico. It's all in the attitude. Don't think that you have to be a jet-setter to enjoy the benefits of family travel. And watch this space for more tips!
