"You gotta find a pawprint, that's your first clue. You put it in your notebook, cause it's Blue's Clues. Blue's Clues." Those words sing to me even in my sleep. Annoying for adults - yes. Fun for kids - absolutely!!

While it does get difficult to concentrate with lyrics running through your head, I must admit that Blue's Clues is one of the most innovative children's shows I have seen in a long time. Your preschooler must learn to solve problems and figure out what the clues mean. Self-esteem is a key issue for parents of preschoolers and Steve and Blue have a great way of building it up. As parents, you should love that concept and it is reinforced, along with many other learning concepts through the software programs as well.

Blue's Treasure Hunt is a two-disk learning adventure for your child aged three through six. Not only is this a learning game, but it is also extremely fun for kids. The game itself is just like watching it on the television and you and your preschooler will be amazed the first time you see Steve on the screen! The games are multi-level and your child will help Steve and Blue discover Magenta's, Mailbox's and Paprika's favorite treasures on there way to finding the Land of Great Discovery. As your child collects more treasure keys and scrolls and solves more games, they are allowed entry into the Land of Great Discovery to find even more adventure.

The goals that must be completed in each of the three Treasure Hunt Pathways is to follow the treasure scrolls that guide your child to find a treasure chest and to find three paw prints to solve Blue's Clues. The answer must be given to the Treasure Bug in order to open the treasure chests.

One great idea is that your child can enter his or her favorite items when signing in. For example, their favorite fruit is an apple, their favorite color is purple and their favorite farm animal is a cow. These items will now appear throughout the game making it even more fun for your child.

There are eleven activities for your preschooler to explore playing this game. Some activities are discovered only after finding objects or solving a Blue's Clues game. Some of the activities include: Catch the Leaves, Mixed-Up Paintings, Find the Numbers, Music Maker, Lights on! Lights Off!, and Paint with Magenta and Blue.
