Once installed, the first place parents should visit is the Parent Resource Center on the main menu. Enter your child's name and link to the appropriate programs to keep track of their progress and scores. You can generate reports to see which areas your child has mastered and those where assistance might be needed. Reports can be created by grade, subjects or skills.
After that, go to the assessment button to test your child on skills such as colors, quantities, listening, phonics and much more. Retest your preschooler every so often to make sure they are learning. When the assessment test is complete, go to the main menu and click on play. When signing your child in, click on the set level screen to adjust the skill levels to either keep at current levels, set to the test levels or enter your own levels. This insures that your preschooler is challenged and continues to learn.
Click on your child's name to begin and sit with your preschooler at least the first time through the program. Delightful songs are bound to keep the child's interest as you enter the classroom door to begin the fun! Notice the personalized welcome sign for your child that will make them feel special.
Most everything you click on will have a cute animation or start an activity. Some of my daughter's favorite activities include connect the dots with numbers and letters; cooking meals by counting out the ingredients; cleaning the shapes off the floor by putting them into the appropriate buckets; and playing hide and seek by figuring out which object Cecil is hiding behind. There are ten activities that teach many skills such as letters, numbers, colors, listening skills, matching, phonics, quantities, similarities and differences and shapes and sizes.
When your child correctly reponds to questions, they will receive a train ticket. After they have four tickets, they will be taken on a trip to special places that reinforce learning of topics such as colors and shapes, seasons, animals and more.
