Crockpot Cooking
Nan's Sloppy JoesIngredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped (I use onion powder)
3/4 cup ketchup
2 Tbsp. chili sauce
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. sugar
Whole wheat buns
Directions:
1. Brown beef and onion in saucepan. Drain.
2. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker.
3. Cover. Cook on LOW 4-5 hours.
4. Serve on buns. I prefer to use whole wheat buns.

******************************You've probably figured out by now that I am a rather picky eater. That's why it comes as such a surprise that I like the following recipe. I do not like stews for the most part, but this recipe is really good and many people I have met online have either heard of this recipe or use a version of it themselves, so it is a rather popular recipe.
Cola RoastIngredients:
3 pounds beef roast
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
2 cans of cola
Directions:
1. Place roast in slow cooker. Sprinkle with soup mix. Pour soda over all.
2. Cover. Cook on LOW 7-8 hours.
Notes:
Diet Cola does not work with this recipe.

******************************I've also never really been a fan of BBQ Pork but this recipe is not only healthy (Weightwatcher friendly) but it is also delicious!
Barbecued Pork: (4 Points)
Makes 8 servings at 4 points each. Ingredients:
2 lbs. boneless pork top loin
1 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. diet soda
3/4 c. barbecue sauce
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a crockpot. Cook covered on high for 5-6 hours or until meat is very tender. Drain and slice or shred pork. I serve it on wheat buns that are 2 points.
******************************This is my favorite chicken crockpot recipe so far. It is so tasty and good. It's also Weightwatcher friendly, which is a BONUS!
Busy Day Crockpot Chicken and Rice (3.5 PTS) Ingredients:
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 cans 98% fat-free cream of chicken soup
1 can 98% fat-free cream of mushroom soup
1 box chicken flavor rice-a-roni
Directions:
Put chicken and soups into the crockpot, turn on low for 8-10 hours. When you get home, cook the rice according to package directions. Serve the chicken and gravy over rice. Easily doubles!
Notes:
Per Serving: 173 Calories; 2g Fat; 28g Protein; 10g Carbohydrate; 1g Dietary Fiber; 66mg Cholesterol; 317mg Sodium.
