It's Summer Time. I want to shout this from the roof tops. Well, my little ones are still in school for another short few weeks, but I'm finished for the time being and have had Finals to deal with this past week. My poor kids have had to fix dinner and breakfasts while Mom was studying. The hubby was around, but he seemed as engrossed with work as I was with school. I wanted to make this article an enjoyable one in finding time for family fun admist the finals and research papers that many Mom's are dealing with as we head back to school.
Having fun while going to school is challenging, but every family can do it. I can teach my children the things I'm learning and put it together in a language that they can understand and in the process it helps me understand all the terms in layman ways. I believe it's good for my kids to see me doing something like school. BUT they also know how important they are in my life, which is one of the reasons I'm doing this late in life and as a re-entry student. Education is important to us for the future and this can be a learning step for my children. Education is something we all need. Now if I could just get the eighteen and nineteen year olds at the college to realize that being educated means using your brain when you speak and using the *creative* portion to put other words in your sentences rather than the "F" word and "S" word and all those other "lame" terms that make them look silly and uneducated. If they really only thought about how truly *un-creative" they look. (But then that could be another article in itself. Don't get me started there!) Go To Page: 1 2
