Spring Break Family StyleI truly think Scottsdale is a charming place that can offer peace of mind with over 400 shops to casually stroll through. I feel sorry for this certain store owner who clearly doesn't have a clue what being a grandparent means, much less what customer service is. I feel sorry for his children and his grandchildren. He is missing out on a simple pleasures of life that comes with knowing children and how they add spice to life and keep us young. Children are the future. They are our future. They follow our lead, I just don't want them following the lead of this tiny minded old man and I will teach them that some people, even old people, just don't know how to behave in public. Well, as for our Scottsdale family experience, we'll let it sit for a season and of course try it again. The Sugar Bowl, a very pink, very quaint ice cream parlor, is a MUST for any and all families. The "free" Trolley rides are a joy for any age, but you must get there between Oct and May to enjoy them. It's too hot out to enjoy anything much between May and Sept. Spring Break was a gangbuster event for us. We enjoyed visiting our extended family and had fun times in the Arizona sun. We'll even let the verbal accosting sit and ferment so one day we can all laugh out loud at our experiences and remember who our role models are and what we are trying to accomplish in life with each other. Live, Love and Laugh. Children are the heart of the family. * For legal reason I will leave the stores nameless, but they are right on downtown Main street. I advised the man that my next family column would be about his rudeness, which of course he "dared" me to write! (PS...never dare a mother whom you've just told she is a terrible mother!)
