"This is the season, beloved of the year. Sing a song, Christmas time soon will be here.."
Christmas songs can be heard from every radio no matter the setting. The sights and smells are here to stay with us for the next month. It's the feeling of Christmas that lingers in the air as you walk the crowded malls and busy shopping centers to get a glimpse of the hot items the children are vying for this year. It's the feeling in your heart of the giving season that is upon us. It's this feeling I want to instill in my children as we hustle and bustle through this season; the feeling of giving in a simple act of kindness.
I'm so into the mood of Christmas this year. Possibly because I saw how excited my children were just over Halloween. They helped made me realize how I needed to be part of that joy with them. Yes, it's a new house for us to learn to decorate and learn where our old decorations can be hung, but it's also a time to learn to adjust and start fresh. This will be a great Christmas as we write letters to Santa and bake our cookies and yummy treats to give away.
This year we'll try something different with the technology world. We are putting our annual Christmas card on the Internet through a web page we are creating. We'll send cards to our loved ones with the web address for those who have internet access they will be able to view our Christmas card live. We'll add pictures and active fun things for them to keep busy or just for their viewing pleasure. The kids are so excited to have their pictures up for all their cousins, aunts and uncles to view and we can change them anytime we want. Isn't technology wonderful? It's opened up a whole new realm of possibilities for us.
