Fun In The SunWOW! It's almost summer time and the kids are busting at the seams trying to get outside to play. The sun is shining, they have their scooters in tow and they are set to go. One major concern is eye protection. Are the kids taking care of their eyes while they are out in the sun? Eye protection is vital while outdoors for all ages. Teary, sun burned eyes are not much fun. Teaching our kids that early protection is necessary will aid in their over picture of health. They'll get a sense that even the small things matter and even the smallest of things can get sunburned while outdoors. Especially if at the beach or on a boat in the middle of the lake. The sun reflects off the water and can cause twice the damage of normal outdoor activities. Also with the summer season upon us, we want to have fun with the whole family, so teaching the entire family about water safety can be done in a few evenings of being together. For a family home evening or a family night, gather the whole crowd around and learn the in's and out's of water safety. Even the little ones will have fun learning that they can be safe in the water. Going down a check list of pool rules and things to be careful of will aid the entire family when it comes time to swim. Have fun with your family during the beginning of summer and take lessons together to help each other learn the right techniques and the right way to do the pool thing this summer. You'll be glad you did and your family will have fun at the same time. Be safe this summer with eye protection and in the water, but most of all, be safe with your family while you're having fun. Family is where its at! Be there with them
