Ring In The New Year

Ringing in the New Year is a favorite in our house. It’s a family holiday and that’s exactly the way we spend it; family style. No matter the age of our children’s age it’s a holiday we want them to remember and cherish as family times.

As the children were younger and not accustomed to staying up late, we’d celebrate and put them to bed and then Mom and Dad could celebrate with some peace and quiet. As the kids grew older we included them in the fun. Finding children’s games and playing them throughout the evening can help the memories linger in their heads. Finding great children’s game ideas can be a chore, but don’t let it stop you from planning a fun filled evening. It’s all worth it as you see the smiles and hear the laughter that fills your every corner of your house as you ring in the New Year.

Having parties with other families can be a treat for everyone on the invited list. Choosing what kind of music to listen too and what kinds of foods to eat and which Martinelle’s non-alcoholic drink will be the hit of your party (for all those under 21, of course) and deciding on what kind of theme you might want to go with can be the most of fun with the whole gang involved. Each person can be in charge of something, down to the wee ones being in charge of paper plates and napkins. Some fantastic ideas for games and fun can be found at this party site. Be sure and check it out. I came away with many ideas. Now I just need to figure out which ones I want to use since all of them wouldn't be possible in one night!

During your party you can take this fun quiz to see just how much everyone knows about the New Year and why it’s celebrated. It’s a amazing to see just how much you don’t know, even after all of those college classes!

Enjoy your family this holiday season and celebrate into the New Year family style with smiles and cheers from all ages and when you wake up the next morning you’ll have the memories and your children will love you all the more for those happy memories.

Live, Love and be Safe this holiday season! To your house from mine!
