Valentine's day is the day your love is given away. You can have so much fun on this day! It's the day to show and tell your love to your family.
My daughter gets a kick out of washing the plates and saucers before we use them. ("Why do we have to wash them twice, Mom?") I try to explain how we should use it more often before it gets dusty on that shelf out of reach. She agrees and promises to remind me. She is quick to keep her promise each week! I've seen the little valentine cards in the stores for my children's classmates and die each time I look at the prices of those tiny cards. Why can't I make something like that just off my computer? Well, I found someone who was thinking just the same thing and is offering it to us for free. Valentine Classmate Cards. Print them out on cardstock thickness paper of any color and, like magic, you have some great classmate cards. Lisa grabbed my attention with her webpage for food and recipe ideas for kids. Follow the links to some great little finger ideas. There are even some great Valentine ideas for us Moms and Dads! We live far enough away from loved ones and family members that a simple visit isn't possible on Valentines day. In the February issue of Family Fun magazine are some wonderful homemade Valentine card ideas that are easy for even the smallest of your children. I have the paper issue of this magazine and each article is filled with such wonderful ideas. When my parents open up a card that was made exclusively by *little fingers* they tell me it means more to them because it was made from the heart. During the school days when little ones left behind by the school age children are having a hard time keeping busy, try some fun crafts from Sherri that are easy for their little hands and easy on you in the pocket book AND on your sanity.
