The Joy of Christmas

Christmas is a great motivator for making festive things, be it a present for someone special, colourful tree decorations or small gifts for unexpected visitors. Having a deadline forces you to decide what you're going to do, because if you don't do it now, you're going to have to wait until next year! There are plenty of on-line projects to suit both your skills and the time you have available. So whether you want to make an ornament quilting block, create a tree decoration based on the bow tie block, sew a Christmas stocking or paint one or two, have Christmas gift pockets to hang up, or a jolly rag ball santa, there's plenty to keep you busy. If you're still looking for presents to make, what about a dammit doll for someone with too much stress in their life, a large tote bag for someone with too much stuff in their life, or a rice heating bag for relaxing after the chaos of Christmas lunch. For kids you could make a fun puppet, a tooth fairy pocket pillow, or a long-legged octopus. And for all the big kids you know, a bone pet cushion. And if on Xmas eve you discover you've forgotten someone, send them a Xmas e-kiss.
