Lions and Leos
Beauty, elegance, and bold strided are the chief physical characteristics of the lion (P. Leo). Those who are born within the time period of July23 to August 22, are assigned the reputation and considered to hold the attributes of the Leo (lion). Leo's are most commonly known to be very generous, affectionate, noble, loyal, energetic, passionate, and strong-willed. Leo's are known (carry a reputation) of being spectacular leaders, and desiring immensely to be the center of attention, and importance. While Leo's are commonly very proud people, they are often heeded as being too proud (no offense intended)! Relation of the Lion pride to the LeoNow take what I've told you about the Leo reputation and apply and compare it to lions. The lion is greatly known as 'The King of The Jungle', this is where Leo's get their pride, center of attention and importance, and great leadership from. The lion is one 'big kitty'! It is assumed that they are the most commonly known member of the cat (Felidae) family. They are comparably and almost non-debatably the most powerful of all cats, and personally one of the most beautiful. Lions inhabit the jungle's of Africa, south of the Sahara, as well as the Gir Forest of India, where they feed in their carnivorous manner upon large prey, such as zebra, antelope, buffalo, and warthog. The are very subject to diseases carried by the animals the hunt, as well as the prey they steal from the cheetahs after their catch. To give you an idea of how strong these animals are, they have the capability to tow a 600 pound animal with them to wherever they would like to feast. Lions average life span is approximately 15 to 20 years, however is increased by about 5 years, when in captivity. The lioness's gestation period is about 3 ½ months in which she can bear 1 to 6 cubs, but usually 2 or 3.
