Exotic America, Las Vegas for as low as $25!

Exotic travel deals may be the last thing on most American’s minds right now. Jetting off to some remote island seems frivolous and trivial considering the recent events. But we must consider the words of Mayor Rudolph Giulliani in the aftermath of the tragedy; “Live your life, go out and enjoy your life.”

Airlines are doing their part to offer great rates for those of us who can take a few days off to just enjoy life. It is a perfect time to discover “exotic” America. There is but one destination in the United States that encompasses the romance of Venice, the excitement of Paris, the mystery of Egypt, and the American spirit of New York. It’s Vegas, baby. And, you may be able to get there for $25 round-trip.

National Airlines “Get America Flying” promotion has been extended until October 31, 2001. The ticket prices are unheard of and a percentage of the profits will be donated to the relief effort. National Airlines will donate a portion of the fare to a special fund established by the employees of National Airlines for the families of the flight crews that perished. So, you can take a breather, not break your wallet, help the relief effort, and help the economy by getting back on a plane. And, of course, come home from Vegas a millionaire.

Orbitz.com has information and sample fares for “Get America Flying.” Tickets to Vegas from Los Angeles and San Francisco are selling for $25 round-trip. If you want to hit the strip and you are in Dallas or Chicago, you’ll pay just $50 round-trip. If you are in New York the trip will cost you $75 round-trip. The offer also includes some other truly economical deals, like New York to San Francisco for $100 round-trip, and Miami to Los Angeles for $100 round-trip. Visit http://www.orbitz.com/App/GetDealsDetail... to see all the offered fares.

So what are you going to do in Vegas for a couple of days? You can either plan to catch some shows, plan to gamble the whole time, or find a happy medium. If you want to see some shows, you’re in luck.

Britney Spears, Stevie Nicks, Gloria Estevan, and Tom Jones are all scheduled to perform in Vegas in the next coming weeks. The insane magicians Penn & Teller will also be wielding their magic at the Rio at the end of October. With a lifetime contract at the Mirage, Seigfried & Roy’s show usually runs five days a week. The duo may seem a little weird, but seeing the white lions and tigers that make up the show is worth the ticket price. Halloween 2001 Vegas style promises to be out of this world, with a Star Trek Alien Bash and a Fetish and Fantasy Halloween Ball. Visit http://www.vegas.com for a schedule of upcoming shows and events.
