Alfred Wegener and Continental Drift


The Earth Today
pursued his theory of Continental Drift in the 1930's. New research might have given him the evidence needed to finally prove his theory to the scientific community. Instead, his theory remained a footnote to geology until new research and studies, unrelated to the concept of continental drift, in the 1950's finally proved that the continents do indeed move.
