Earthquake Preparedness: Are you prepared?


Earthquake damage.
you know you live in an earthquake prone area check on other dangers associated with earthquakes. Many types of soil are subject to liquefaction (the ground turns to liquid and shakes like gelatin, intensifying damage and risks of subsidence) and landslide. If you live near the coast then you should learn about the dangers posed by tsunami.

This article is not meant to scare you about the dangers of earthquakes. Since we have no way of predicting when and where an earthquake will occur there is no since to panic prematurely. However, I hope this article will make you pause for a moment. Ask yourself, are you prepared? If not, I hope you will take a day and meet with your family to plan and prepare for an earthquake.
