KokopelliHere are directions for a FRAMED KOKOPELLI DESIGN. These can be kept and displayed or given as gifts. Simply choose the colors and textures to coordinate with a room's surroundings or a person's favorites. Supplies
Scrapbook pages are often sturdier than plain white copy paper and you can usually find an assortment of colors and printed textures from which to choose. Use one sheet to stamp your Kokopelli design onto and a smaller part of one sheet to print out a short paragraph explaining the Kokopelli. If your frame is for an 8" x 12", then determine how large you want the Kokopelli design to be and how big you want the printed information to be and the placement of both. If the frame is another size, determine the same according to its measurement. 1. Print out the explanation-paragraph onto one of the sheets of scrapbook paper. Cut this out and set aside. 2. Draw a Kokopelli silhouette several times onto a piece of craft foam. Six or seven should be enough. 3. Cut out each one. 4. Lightly sand each flat surface of the shapes except the one flat surface that will be on top and you'll be using for the stamp-painting. 5. Glue each shape on top of the next one to form a stack. Do not put glue on the last one's unsanded top surface! Allow to dry. 6. Glue a small block of wood to the bottom of the stack in order to create something to hold onto when stamping. Allow to dry. 7. Use this "stamp" to gently dip into paint, or lightly apply paint to the stamp's flat, foam surface. Just remember to blot the painted stamp onto a paper towel before pressing onto the remaining full sheet of scrapbook paper. 8. Glue the explanation piece onto the stamped sheet. Allow to dry. 9. Gently place in frame. *NOTE
