SCULLY: Yes, I am. (Blevins and the man look at each other.)

THIRD MAN: How so?

SCULLY: By reputation. He's an Oxford educated Psychologist, who wrote a monograph on serial killers and the occult, that helped to catch Monty Props in 1988. Generally thought of as the best analyst in the violent crimes section. He had a nickname at the academy... Spooky Mulder.

With three lines of dialog we are introduced to the central protagonist Mulder. Note like in " Miami Vice," he has not appeared. For this month I want you to rent Miami Vice, or buy the script the same for the "X-Files." In a few weeks we explore dialog and how to pause and tease and audience before a commercial. Until then.
