Espionage in the USA.

Espionage in the USA.

It seems an opportune time to investigate espionage in the United States of America, we all know that spies exist and have operated throughout the world for centuries, each serving different masters who in turn represented different ideals, we the people have come almost accustomed to hearing of espionage and spies.

But since the “Cold War” disappeared off the horizon of history, many people have asked “why do we need spies?” and “what do they do in those large buildings?” recent events have proved that the need for spies is necessary more than ever and the need for the “Man” on the ground is most important of all, it is the ground level espionage that will give the world governments their most valuable information.

The tracking of arms and armies no longer apply to the modern world, the watching of independent States is longer the top priority, individuals with a grudge be it political, social or religious are the new enemy of the state, but how do we as democratic states keep track on these people, the answer is simple, we can’t! It is impossible to predict when a terrorist is going to strike and indeed where. Cells of “Sleepers” are at large as I speak, their mission to infiltrate and undermine our society.

This is an example of one act of law.

The Espionage Act of May 16, 1918
