Bon Voyage! Words of Support Are My "Lighthouse" in the Storm

It is amazing how resilient our souls can become when we feel a positive presence of people around us. That is exactly what I experienced when I reached out and countless thoughtful, caring people reached back. I want to stress that when you are experiencing any type of seizure experience, a change in seizure type, or something routine like a medicine change - reach out.

Even someone like myself that represents nearly 1000 clients nationwide with The Epilepsy Connection is human. Humans have needs. Humans are also imperfect and I have the same malady that my clients do that impacts their lives so tremendously. I'm including the words others expressed to me that have been slightly edited, but not added to, with the names removed. I'm doing this because if they gave me even the slightest glimmer of hope on the bleakest of days, they could give one of you out there that same feeling you are not alone.

Remember that you are never alone. If any of you are experiencing a traumatic experience relating to seizures or epilepsy feel free to contact me personally at my email: Motzko@ix.netcom.com

Although some of my days are better than others, the ones that are the most rewarding are the ones in which I help the most people. It might sound "corny" to some, but as sure I have survived nearly 39 years on this earth, it is total truth. I will always be wishing all of you out there with epilepsy or seizure disorders the best life you can possibly have. The more we stick together to help one another and fight for our rights, things like abolishing discriminatory myths will come to end. In time they will come to an end, but we, together have to make them. We are stronger as a massive team than alone as humble individuals.

I know I can speak from my personal standpoint but I am stronger from the unending support I receive from those who care about me. Some I've helped lead better lives and some just care. I think that is the main point: caring makes us become greater and stronger than what we could fathom on our own.
