Sustainability, Water and Ethical Reporting

For a different type of web site, and a very interesting one for its links, try The Social and Ethical Reporting Clearinghouse , which "provides links to over 106 corporate websites and to over 65 social and ethical reporting resources. New links are added to the site at the beginning of every month."

According to the site, 'The practice of social and ethical accounting is emerging as a key tool for companies in the 1990s in response to calls for greater transparency and accountability to different stakeholders, and as a means for managing companies in increasingly complex situations where social and environmental issues are significant in securing business success'.(Zadek et al, 1997)."

The site offers some interesting insights to what corporations are being encouraged to do vis-à-vis environmental responsibility. Other topics at the site include the following: Corporate Responsibility Reporting Guidelines, Reporting Organisations, Reporting Awards, Reporting Surveys, Reporting Magazines, Speeches and Presentations, Corporate Benchmarking, and Conferences.
