New Horizonsthe stump has for me sealed its fate.
The summer of 2003 is proving to be memorable in other ways too. This is my last year of opening for the National Gardens Scheme of England Wales. After 11 years of opening my garden to complete strangers for charity, I am finally hanging up the collection box. In recent years visitor numbers have dropped so calling it a day was made a little easier. I am also, dear reader, leaving you too. After 6 years of dispatches from my little plot in north-west England, I am moving on literally to Scotland. I started writing my monthly articles on 'English Town Gardening' back in September, 1997. I have really enjoyed writing my monthly columns and hope you have found them useful but most of all I hope I have shown that it is possible and also enjoyable to garden with wildlife and nature.
My last article will be next month in September. Over the following few months I will be planning my move to the Isle of Skye in north-west Scotland. So, until next month thanks for reading! Summer Browsing
