Mastiff Temperament

Draco also wasn't crazy about other dogs. He'd play until he got tired, and then he'd growl when they got near him. But he loved his kitties!

His general nature with his pack was always extremely loving! He was the one who made us fall in love with this breed. He was a companion and friend and basically just a big old sissy most of the time. To us, he was everything temperament-wise that a Mastiff should be.

Chesty

Chesty had been spoiled by his breeder, and we spoiled him even more when we brought him home because we had just lost Draco suddenly to cancer. He didn't kiss us all over like Draco did, but he was affectionate and wanted to be near us all the time.

He played much rougher than Draco ever had. He loved tug-of-war and playing fetch. He was pretty active for a Mastiff! Where Draco just wanted to lay in our laps, Chesty wanted to PLAY!

Chesty was also well socialized, but when we brought other dogs into the house, he began to show signs of jealousy. We're hoping he grows out of all this as he matures, but you never know.

We wouldn't trade him for all the world because even with his faults, he's just a wonderful boy! He'll jump in your lap in a heartbeat, whether you're an adult or a 3-year old child. You can't even mention the word "kids" or he whines and starts spinning in circles wanting to play with them. He's a good boy - he just has a little attitude every once-in-a-while.

Macy

Macy Rose is a character unique unto herself! We wanted to get Chesty a playmate since he was so active, so we went on search of a female since he didn't seem to do well with males. Macy's breeder seemed like the perfect breeder - had this fabulous looking kennel with concrete floors, separate stalls, windows and
