ABC Teach: Free Teaching Materials
ABC Teach is an excellent website for all types of educators. You can find it at http://abcteach.com.
It has everything from printable bookmarks to book report forms; from flashcards to help with research and reports; from basic colors, shapes and letters to learning sign language. Best of all, many of its resources are available for free.
The theme units section is very useful. For instance, if you want to teach a unit on dinosaurs, you can create a shape book by accessing the shape book section (a dinosaur appears for you print and cut out). You can find word searches, information about different types of dinosaurs and worksheets for writing about dinosaurs. The theme unit section has many units covering animals and holidays.
Another excellent section is the teaching extras section - calendars, certificates, awards, games and puzzles, and even portfolio helpers for students and teachers. All the above are wonderful time savers. Whether you are a teacher at a public or private school, a parent who home schools, a babysitter, or a parent who wishes to supplement your child’s learning, ABC teach is definitely worth checking out.
