November Plant Gallery
This may not be the most eye-catching plant in the garden, but is a useful, evergreen, low-growing groundcover for shady areas. It produces small white or pale pink flowers and then these red berries that persist through the winter. It is fully hardy and needs acid to neutral, moist, peaty soil. Cornus sanguinea 'Winter Beauty' This dogwood is mainly grown for its glowing winter stems, but it also produces good autumn leaf colouration as shown here. It is fully hardy and likes a moist soil, particularly whilst getting established. It will grown in full sun or partial shade, but the colour of leaves and stems is appreciated best in full sun.
