The most important change will concern community attitudes. If renewable power is to be a main source of electricity, consumers will have to adopt energy-saving habits. Industries must update their methods, residential customers must install energy-efficient appliances, and builders must use so-called "green architecture." Without a major shift in public habits, it is unlikely that renewable power will supply the skyrocketing demands of a growing population.
