Creating a Raised Bed Garden
Third, if you struggle with a yard that slopes, raised beds can be used to create level gardening areas. My front yard sloped about 10 inches from one side of the yard to the community driveway. I found the good topsoil I bought every year simply washed down the driveway in heavy rainstorms. Using landscape timbers, this garden was leveled off saving me the time and money it cost to add good dirt each year.
