Do you have a gardening friend or relative you still need Christmas ideas for? This is my personal wish list which would be suitable for any occasion--not just Christmas. It would easily work for Mother's Day or my Birthday!
Visit GiftCertificate.com to order gift certificates from hundreds of stores. Why not give a Barnes and Noble certificate and let your recipient pick out a book they don't already have in their library? Or maybe they'd like: A phone card? A good meal in a restaurant? The possibilities are endless. From personal experience, I can tell you the certificate will arrive in about 7 days. Just think, you won't have to fight the lines at the customer service centers. Another option is to go to your local garden centers and ask if they have gift certificates. Give the certificate in whatever amount you planned to spend. Your recipient will have the delight of picking out plants later this spring without feeling guilty about spending the money. If the recipient is on a limited budget, this would be very helpful in encouraging them to continue gardening. FLOWER POTS Garden.com offers many fine pots including an all aluminum one. I ordered some bulbs from them in late summer and received them in about 10 days. It's pushing a little to get items in time for Christmas, but if your family parties are after December 25, you still have time. In any case, check out their site all types of garden products for now and later. DISH GARDEN CONTAINERS I suggest checking at your local garden centers for these. Unfortunately, they can be a bit difficult to locate. Even a search on internet came up empty! I sometimes find them at Frank's Nursery and Crafts or Home Depot. Remember to "let your fingers do the walking" to save some steps in your search. MAGAZINES Subscriptions to favorite magazines are always welcome. They remind your recipient of you each time they arrive. My favorite website for buying magazines is: MagMall because of the variety of magazines carried and because they only permit family friendly magazines to be sold there. COUPON BOOKS Are you a healthy adult or teenager looking for ideas for a disabled or elderly gardener? May I suggest you give a gift of your labor. Make up a coupon book for whatever number of hours of free labor you are willing to provide. Your coupons could indicate 5 hours of weeding, 2 hours of digging, etc. This is one gift I would really appreciate! Go To Page: 1 2 |
