-Rescue equipment. -Posted emergency instructions. -Trained, qualified staff. -A safe environment. Even if the pool has a lifeguard, that does NOT mean you can leave your children unattended. Your children are YOUR responsibility, and you must watch them at all times when playing in or around a pool. One more tip: Teaching a child to swim does NOT mean you child is immune from drowning. Even children who know how to swim must be carefully supervised when in or around a pool.
