Las Vegas- The final night...
I do realize however, that this is only one contest out of many throughout the country. Not all contests are equal, nor are they held the same way from contest to contest.
I also know that a variant of judges, entertainers, and songs can contribute to the final outcome. I also know that sometimes things happen that don't make sense. I'm hoping that it is the case here, and that there really is an explanation to some of the questions. I welcome anyone that can provide me with any sort of explanation. If I am mistaken I will apologize to the full extent of my being- if my perception of things has been grossly distorted.
On a happier note, June and I had an incredible time by ourselves and with Kathy Westmoreland and her friend Judy.
We were able to spend some great time together, meet and watch some incredible entertainers, and most of all celebrate "Elvis" Style what would have been his 68th birthday!
It was so good to meet many of the guys, Danny Vernon, Roy LeBlanc, John Loos, Paul Ross... speaking of which... you haven't heard nothing until you hear Paul sing Lady in Red!! It isn't Elvis, but it is INCREDIBLE- what a voice! I did gamble a little, and realized after the machine sucked up all my money- a dollars worth of nickels- that Vegas' inviting arms could make you broke fast!
Okay, so I only spent $1.75, but that's not the point!
Although on that last quarter- Elvis gave me a little birthday present of his own... I sure liked those Elvis slots! The other highlight for me was having the chance to see my good friend Darren Lee and his lovely wife again. It's been a long time! Just a note... Darren gave me a demo of his new CD that he has been working on-INCREDIBLE, is all
