Along with that announcement; that there was only one winner chosen from two nights of competition... would came the confusion and frustration that only those that were ever put in that situation would ever understand.
Without taking away anything from the talent of this young man, for he deserves to be congratulated and has earned his right to carry around the title. The winner was a very talented entertainer, Canadian ETA- Roy LeBlanc!!
I congratulate him on winning the finals - and on becoming the #1 champion for 2003! Great Work!
This has nothing to do with who should have or shouldn't have won. It DOES have to do with how things seemed to be taking a turn.
Now tell me... does that mean that none of the other 55+ guys even came close on either one of those nights? Did it mean that their scores were so low that they didn't even make the mark? I honestly don't know what it means, but wish I did.
Unfortunately, I not only DON'T understand it, but there isn't a darn thing I can do to get an answer!
I know there can only be one winner, and that's not the issue here. But how come many of us had already heard a few hours prior what would happen in the end? What else was going on?
Also, can any ETA tell me what their final score was? So far, most of them are hard pressed to find that out!
Were these guys allowed the opportunity to find out where they had gone wrong, or where they need to improve for the next contest? Where any of the judges available to speak to after the competition?
I will tell you now... that the look on the faces of some of these young men was enough to justify writing this article. This article is for them.
