Continuing the RISE...

Robin
Welcome to the remaining part of the interview with Robin Kelly. Without further ado, "now here's the rest of the story"...

***********************

We all go through bumps and motions in our working worlds, but being an entertainer you always find yourself at the mercy to public scrutiny. What would you say that the biggest challenge has been so far?
Trying my best to prove that what we do is not a joke! There are some fantastic entertainers in "our world" so if they just give us a chance, they might enjoy themselves!

What do you want to see happen in your career future? Is there a light at the end of the tunnel, or are you still going through the paces and really not thinking that far ahead?

  • I would like to head out and tour the world!
  • I would also like my show to be "one of the biggest touring Elvis Tributes there is" As I get better known in the Elvis world hopefully some of these dreams will come true.

If you were reading about yourself, what do you think it would say?
I would hope that it would say something like: His tribute is done with respect, class and a lot of hard work! Also that it is very professional, brings back fond memories and is a lot of fun!!

We all have something that people remember us by the most, what is yours? What do you think people will remember most about you?

  • That I do what I can, to make people happy.
  • That I also try and give them "The Ultimate Tribute to Elvis"

Tell us what your show consists of?

  • My Show consists of the fifties (with the right costumes and movements).
  • Next is the movie years, (With different costume changes during the set)
  • I finish my show in black leathers.

Do you have a favourite Elvis era you perform? Will you ever consider doing the "Jumpsuit" thing, or is that not on your agenda?
I do like the fifties for the movements, and the raw Rock N' Roll sound! I love singing the songs; of the early sixties like "Surrender" his voice was incredible. Right now I'm happy doing only the fifties and sixties.... I prefer to show people what made Elvis the King of Rock and Roll

This August was your first time competing in Memphis at the Images of Elvis contest; what was your worst fear?
