This is world famous Beale Street, where Jane and I stepped into BB Kings, for a quick Memphis drink and and a little blues.

On tap and busy signing autographs at the Souvenirs of Elvis gift shop was Ronnie McDowell, D.J. Fontana and Scotty Moore. Now that's what I call and autograph session! What a thrill to see all three of them together.

Jordan's Elvis World party at the Dolan house (the house Elvis bought for Vernon, where I just happened to be staying) was awesome. It was great fun and a real pleasure meeting Jordon, whos been on my top five list of Web picks at Jordon's Elvis World for years now. Great job Jordon on both the Web page and the party.

This picture was taken at Darwin Lamms. That's Ryan Pelton and Shawn Klush signing autographs. This event was an all-day bash that included entertainment and 60, count em 60, tables of memorabilia, with everything from Elvis flip books to CDS.

The 18th annual Art Contest and Exhibit took place from August 8-15 in the ticket office at the pavilion. On display, was a wonderful exhibition of Elvis-themed artwork from artists around the world.

Marolow's is special treat to be enjoyed anytime you're in Memphis. Just pick up a phone and Marlows will send a pink Cadillac limousine to pick you up at your door. Once inside their restaurant, you'll enjoy some of the best ribs Memphis has to offer, then they'll drive you back to your hotel. They have a Brownie Sundae thats to die for.

Mary Stonebraker's backyard party was awesome, with lots of Elvis friends on hand, including Nancy Rooks, who was Elvis' cook for 11 years. She wrote a book of his favorite recipes in 1971 which can be purchased by clicking on the link below. Also on hand for the party were Ted Silverhand, a psychic that worked for Elvis the last two years, Danny Squires, Larry Geller and others.

When someone asked Nancy what Elvis' favorite meal was, she informed us it was breakfast, as she described all his morning favorites. Nancy's stories were a delight to us all.

The annual Images of the King Contest was held nightly at the Holiday Inn Select. Fantastic as usual, with preliminaries for three nights and finals, giving us the chance to dress-up on the last two nights. The winners of the 2002 Images of the King Contest were, Brandon Bennett in first place, Mario , whom I had the pleasure of following around two years ago, as a new comer, in second place and William Stiles in third place. Congratulations guys on a job well done.
