On May 1, 1967 Elvis married Priscilla Beaulieu. On February 1, 1968, exactly nine months later, Elvis Presley, the King of Rock ’n’ Roll would step into a completely different pair of shoes. These would be the shoes of a loving father.
Dr. T.A.Turman delivered the 6-pound, 15-ounce, 20-inch rock n roller named Lisa Marie at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Elvis lovingly called his little Lisa Marie, "Buttonhead" or "Yisa". Lisa could be seen through the gates of Graceland while growing up as she could be seen playing, and speeding her cart around the driveway in front of the mansion. In 1977 Lisa went to LycĂ©e Francais in Los Angeles, a very prestigious European-style school. She was at home visiting with her father at Graceland the day he died. Lisa’s life has been continuously publicized throughout the years, allowing us to watch her as she grew into a young woman. She’s graced the covers of such magazines as Vogue, People and US. She’s advertised with some of the biggest names in the business, like Gianni Versace and Gap jeans. Lisa and Priscilla appeared in a TV commercial together in the fall of 1988 for the Oldsmobile Cutlass. Lisa’s marriages and romances have always been hot news items. On October 3, 1988 she married her first husband, Danny Keough, at the Celebrity Center International Headquarters of the Church of Scientology in Hollywood, California. Danny was a bass player and house musician at Chick Corea’s Mad Hatter Studios. Lisa Marie gave birth to Elvis' first grandchild, Danielle, on May 29, 1989. Four years later she gave birth to her second child, Benjamin. The grandchildren Elvis never got to see or bounce on his knee can be seen at Girls Guide to Elvis. Lisa and Danny divorced in 1994. Later that year Lisa married Michael Jackson in the Dominican Republic. In January of 1996 Lisa Marie once again filed for divorce. Recently Lisa’s name has been linked with superstar Nicolas Cage, but their relationship appears to be a thing of the past. Or does it? Lisa News. The 1995 transcripts of Lisa with Diane Sawyer at Prime Time Live can be seen at, Little Princess. Lisa sang in public for the first time at the 20th anniversary concert of Elvis' death. It was a beautiful moment in time, as she sang "Don’t Cry Daddy" along with a background video of Elvis. A virtual and very touching duet. Go To Page: 1 2
