ELVIS WEEK 2001
If you can't make it to Memphis, you can watch the The Vigil Cast live from Graceland again this year on August 15 at
Vigil Cast. It's a good idea to re-register at their site early.
Another good way to spend the 15th is to turn up the volume and browse Diane Geary's wonderful
Tribute to Elvis pages.
You can always browse my pictures and experiences from last year at Elvis Week 2000 and
The Candle Light Vigil.
However, if you're one of the lucky ones that will be attending Memphis this year for Elvis Week 2001, here's a partial list of what will be going on while you're there. But be sure to check the Graceland schedule for any changes when you arrive.
SATURDAY AUGUST 10
A big kick-off event is planned on Beale Street for Saturday.
This is just one of the great pop-up sites seen last year on Beale Street.

That's MARIO, who gave us last years inside-scoop of Elvis Week through a tribute artists eyes at Images of Elvis 2000. Mario will be performing again this year on Thursday, August 16.
MONDAY AUGUST 12

THURSDAY AUGUST 15
The Candlelight Vigil at Graceland as thousands walk slowly past the grave, leaving flowers, or just saying a silent prayer. The procession will start at 9:00 PM and continue through the night.
FRIDAY AUGUST 16
Be sure to catch Elvis-The Concert. It's a must-see concert with Elvis being brought to you by video, while many of his original band mates perform live. It's a truly remarkable production.
