[3000_Miles_to_Graceland] 3000 Miles to Graceland features an all-star cast, including Kevin Costner, Kurt Russell, Christian Slater, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, Bokeem Woodbine, and David Kaye.
Other great characters you'll see in this movie are portrayed by, Howie Long, John Lovitz, Ice-T, Shawn Michael Howard, Raoul Ganeev, Thomas Haden Church, Peter Kent, Morgan H. Margollis, Daisy McCracklin and Kevin Pollak. Opening with a blast from the past, a young boy enters and kicks Kurt Russell in the shins. As any Elvis fan knows, Kurt's first Elvis experience was when he himself kicked Elvis in the 1963 movie At the Worlds Fair . The movie evolves around a plan previously made by Kevin's character Murphy, and Kurt's character Michael, as inmates. It seems while in prison they'd decided to pull a robbery on the Rivera Casino in Las Vegas during an Elvis convention. Take a woman named Cybil, a boy named Jesse, and numerous hound dog sightings, and you have a movie full of memory jogs for the Elvis fan. Also dotted throughout the movie are actual sound and visual clips of Elvis himself. To much violence and raw language for this Elvis fans taste, but somehow Kurt Russell and Kevin Costner made it bearable. Kevin plays the main bad guy in 3000 Miles to Graceland . I'm not sure if it was harder to picture Kevin as a bad guy, or as a possible son of Elvis, but he pulled both off remarkably well. Courtney Cox's portrayal of Cybil Waingrow was so different from her role on "Friends," that you could definitely say, Monica had left the building. Kurt Russell; well what can I say about Kurt ? He’s got the look, the walk, the moves, and he looks darn good in a jumpsuit. In fact Kurt looks good in anything, if you ask me. He was outstanding in the 1979 made for TV movie "Elvis," and now 22 years later, as Elvis would probably say, "the boys still got it.”" Be sure to stay seated when the movie ends for out-takes, highlighted by Kurt performing "Such a Night," in true Elvis style. Tim Welch and Craig Newell are just a few of the numerous tribute artists in the movie. Check Craigs interview on Tribute Artists Corner for backstage gossip.
