Question: Darren, what were your very first memories of Elvis Presley? Darren: Hearing "Hound Dog" at the age of four. Not knowing who it was, only that it was good. I remember when Elvis died I was at my grandmother's house, and my dad came to get us. He told us Elvis had died. I remember every radio and station and television channel had nothing on except Elvis. I realized how important he was at that moment. Question: When did you first realize you wanted to become an Elvis Tribute Artist ? Darren: About 10 years ago a friend of mine who's also an Elvis Tribute Artist called and told me an all Elvis show was looking for a young Elvis. I had been singing his music for 10 years at this point, but had never impersonated him before. I sent a bad video to the promoter and he hired me. That was the beginning. Question: When and where was the first time you performed publicly as Elvis ?
