All Shook Up in Branson

Funny story. I learned you should never leave your husband alone with 10 women (yes I should have known better) but felt he deserved a break from watching my books and merchandise at the vendor's table, so sent him off to relax. It seems after I relieved him, the other 10 women from our club, talked him into going to the Marilyn Monroe show then ended up pushing him onstage with her, in which he ended up sitting on her lap while she sang "My Heart Belongs to DONNIE". Needless to say, my usually quiet husband, came back red-faced, with lip prints all over his head and the girls from the club with plenty of stories. I guess it was pretty funny, but I missed it all. I had no idea when I sent him off to relax I was sending him straight into the lap of Marilyn Monroe.

Shawn Barker is from St. Louis, Mo and won first place in the very first contest he ever entered. He was last years World Champion at the "All Shook Up in Branson" contest. He kept us entertained in between contestants and while waiting for the votes to be tallied. It was easy to see why Shawn made World Champion last year, he is fantastic both as an MC and as a tribute artist.

Since then Shawn has traveled across the US and won many contests. He's a definite crowd pleaser.

Jamie Aaron Kelley was also there, not as a contestant, but to show off his brand new JAX Just Awesome karaoke tracs. Naturally Jamie, performed a number or two for us every night at the karaoke parties, plus helping out with the kids competition. There's always a good time to be had by all, when Jamie is around. Some of these kids really have a great future for them as Elvi tribute artists. They ranged in age from 3-11. With 11-year old Alex Swindel entertaining between shows on stage, in the halls and even in the vendor room.

For those of you who haven't heard yet, Jamie has just landed the lead role in The Elvis Story
